Disclose the Names in (Guantanamo) Iraq Prisons
Target: The US administration
Sponsored by: Mohammad, an Iraqi citizen
I am writing this petition for all people who share human feelings and dignity whether they are government officials or citizens all over the world. The US army in Iraq spread names of hundreds of war prisoners who were detained after Fallujah battle, Nov. 2004 by putting them on the doors of the mosques in Ramadi city. Those detainees have families who are desperate just to know whether their sons are still alive or not. Some of them were children when they were detained and most of them are merely residents of Fallujah who refused to leave their houses.
The families did everything possible to know anything about their sons, but the prisons in which they are kept are secret like Guantanamo.
There are more complications now after signing the security pack between the US and Iraq, which mentioned that the US army will handle the prisoners to the Iraqi custody. It is far more dangerous because the Iraqi security forces are well known for killing the detainees and throwing them into dumps. The prisoners should be registered in the Red Cross and be visited occasionally to assure their safety and end their misery.
The people of Ramadi saw the US army planting those names on the mosques' doors. The families want to know why the US troop issued the names of the prisoners and later refused to acknowledge them.
Please sign this petition to help discovering the fate of the prisoners of Fallujah who spent more than four years in those secret prisons.
